Wonder if Barry Glassberg has a copy of another source for this show. I did it from the left loge with a TC 152 and two AKG D1000e. I have never heard

ecm 99as with such good low end. I believe this is my Tape done with AKG mics , I know Steve had a copy of most of my recordings as we were both affiliated with the Scalper.

5 and provides a sublime remaster.
One of the all-around best shows in my opinion, in that it's consistent in its energy and presentation of new material after just returning to touring. Certainly top 3 of 76.
The St. Stephen is amazing and rolls into a spellbinding Eyes.
Also love the Promised land and of course, the Crazy Fingers.

This is BY FAR one of the best Dead out there. How can it not be?! It's sublime on every level, I mean, one can sense the synchronicity the bad has experienced

during Eyes and Franklin's Tower, it's as close to magick as it gets to my opinion, And that's only mentioning 2 songs.

In the middle of Eyes, there is a brief SBD patch. Why couldn't they use another AUD for a patch? This totally ruins the show for me. One star.

I love this show because the vocals are so clear, Donna is very laid back (no screaming) and pretty much in tune. Jerrys vocals are strong. This is one

of my favorite shows since I discovered this site. I find a new one every week. 76 is sounding like a great year. I also love the crowds reaction to St Stephen. I wish I was there.

It sounds like they're still getting a feel for being back on the road. It is interesting to hear St. Stephan. A nice mellow version with Donna! Similar
...
to the Cosmic Charlie of June 4, which has much better sound, BTW.
Speaking of sound, it is poor--you can barely hear the vocals. A much better version is the one called "flac16 SBD/AUD Matrix."

The "Dancin" has the best cow-bell solo in Dead history. Mixed perfectly for the cow-bell.

versions IMO. Nice 2nd set overall. You have to move your EQ levels quite a bit to get it just right. Like many AUDs, the midrange needs to be almost totally cut out. But if you can balance it, you will be very satisfied with this clean, low gen audience recording. I have to agree with chenner. It could be the best audience recording of the year.

ears is'nt as good as the tape this guy made at the show. Nice aud recording of 6/9/76, my favorite of the 4 show Boston Music hall run, and one of the best from that year. The entire concert is played well, tight but with an effortless and trippy feel to most of the songs- standouts include "Saint Stephen", "eyes of the world" and "Let it grow" with a "Franklins tower" encore. This one and 7/16/76 are the two best aud recordings from 1976 up here- both are excellent shows and well recorded for the time. Thanks to the tapers, and all involved in making these shows available. Those who like aud recordings should check 'em out.
